General Description
The manual (pull along) overhead conveyor system is mounted to a painted structural steel framework which is supported by RHS columns bolted to the factory floor, without the need for any special foundations.
The wet back spray booth is constructed from bolted painted steel panels with an additional internal steel support framework.
There are manually operated double sliding doors at each end.
The front wall has a large area of rectangular air inlet filter elements.
The rear wall is of the wet back design with base tank and recirculation pump to raise the water to a high level trough running the length of the booth from which it overflows and cascades to the base tank with the objective of capturing airborne particulate matter and washing it into the base tank.
There is an extraction fan located on the roof of the booth with ductwork to atmosphere.
The booth is fitted with high level internal lighting and connections for air fed helmets.
The overhead conveyor incorporates a high level turntable inside the booth to enable the hanging parts to be turned so they can be coated/painted on both sides with the spraying direction always being toward the wet back extraction system.
The curing oven is manufactured from bolted pained steel panels supported by an internal RHS structural frame. It is of double skinned construction with 100mm rockwool insulation between the inner and outer steel skin.
There are manually operated double hinged doors at each end.
It has a steel chequer plate floor.
A plenum chamber housing a gas fired burner is mounted on top of the oven with the heated supply air ducted to low level distribution manifolds running the full length of both sides. The return air to the plenum chamber entering from the top of the oven.
The oven has two recirculation fans and an exhaust fan.
The overhead conveyor has a side transfer facility outside both oven doors (entry and exit) to enable three parallel conveyor tracks to be filled with work inside the curing oven. Therefore, allowing three loads of sprayed work to be cured simultaneously.
A combined control panel for the spray booth and the oven is located on the outside wall containing temperature controllers, process timer, selector and on/off switches and indicator lights, control gear etc.
