Description

Rösler R Series rotary vibrators feature a flat bottom work bowl designed to process large, bulky and delicate components with excellent workpiece immersion and controlled movement. Bottom unloading allows the bowl to be fully emptied, with media and components separated externally. The system is supplied with a control panel and dosing unit for straightforward process management.

The flat bottom design provides excellent embedding of components within the media, while optional fan dividers allow particularly delicate parts to be processed separately, reducing unwanted contact and impact.

Vibratory Finishing Process

Vibratory finishing uses a work bowl mounted on coil springs, with a central vibratory motor generating the movement required to create friction between the components and finishing media. Continuous water and compound dosing supports the process, helping achieve consistent finishing results.

Applications

Highly versatile, rotary vibrators can perform a wide range of finishing operations, including:

  • Deburring and grinding
  • Radiusing and edge rounding
  • Cleaning and descaling
  • Degreasing and polishing
  • Processing of stamped, cast, formed, forged, sawn and machined components

Suitable for metals, plastics, ceramics, rubber, wood, stone and glass, vibratory finishing can be used for everything from small, delicate components to large and robust workpieces.

Flexible Processing Options

The bulk-discharge design supports three main processing methods:

1. Part-on-Part Processing

Components can be processed without media for applications such as deburring stampings or part-on-part burnishing and polishing. Once complete, parts can be quickly removed through the unload gate.

2. Large & Delicate Components

The flat-bottom bowl allows larger or sensitive components to be processed with reduced part-to-part impact. Components move in a controlled spiral around the bowl and rise towards the surface, allowing easy manual removal without a separation screen.

3. Intricate Components & Post-Treatment

For applications where media separation is required, parts and media can be discharged together through an extended separation screen. This helps remove media from trapped holes and allows additional processes such as washing and drying, while also enabling undersized media to be removed to maintain optimum processing performance.
