Description

This DiscMaster 4TD deburring machine is designed for deburring and edge rounding of sheet metal components up to a height of 100mm with its 1500mm width belt. Perfect for finishing steel & aluminium components that have been punched, laser cut and plasma cut.

Intended for sheet metal parts with a minimum length of 30mm and maximum length of 800 mm (when roller conveyors are used before and after the machine, then a length greater than 800mm is permitted).

Operation Details

  • The machine is equipped with 4 disc units , two at the infeed side and two at the out feed side.
  • Each disc is mounted to a plate and can be adjusted in height manually by a handwheel in order to adjust the discs depending on thickness and wear of the disc tool. 
  • A display shows the height of the individual disc. The height can be clamped or loosened by clamping lever.
  • The four disc motors can be adjusted for speed.
  • The disc units are mounted to a support on linear guides and oscillate 90° to the direction of feed. The oscillation is driven by a gear motor and a tooth belt. Sensor switches control the change of direction of motor.
  • The oscillation has three possibilities to select from. Full range oscillation – the discs will oscillate over the full width of the machine.  The left position to select small oscillation. The discs will only oscillate a little. This might be selected to process small work pieces (up to 100mm diameter) at a higher feed speed. In this case make sure to place the work pieces directly under the arrows on the feed belt. Select 0-position and the units will not oscillate at all. This might be advantageous for processing small work pieces only from two directions (left-right and right-left). Make sure to check where the discs are placed as they will stop anywhere.
  • The conveyor belt carries the workpiece through the machine. It is driven by a feed motor. It is switched on using the switch for the conveyor belt and the feed speed can be set using the potentiometer .
  • The tracking device is keeps the feed belt centre at all times. A pneumatic cylinder pushes the feed roller to different directions.
  • The feed belt can be adjusted and tensioned manually by using the adjusting screws.

Cleaning Brush

A motor driven cleaning brush is positioned beneath the outfeed side of the feed belt to continuously remove dirt and dust as the belt operates. Automatically linked to the feed belt, the brush starts and stops simultaneously, with removed debris collected in a dedicated dust collection box for easy regular cleaning.

Extraction

The machine features a 150mm diameter side extraction connection, with two extraction channels positioned either side of the feed table and connected to the integrated dust collection box. The machine should be connected to a suitable extraction system with automatic start-up linked to the machine, ensuring extraction operates whenever the machine is switched on.
