Containerised Blast Room

This containerised blast room offers a practical and cost effective solution where space is limited or a temporary blasting facility is required. Built around standard shipping container sizes, they provide a ready‑to‑use blasting environment.

Thanks to their flexible design, this blasting set up also includes a blast machine, recovery system & dust extraction. Fully weatherproof, this blast room can be installed indoors or outdoors, delivering a versatile and efficient blasting solution for a wide range of applications.

Running costs have been measured at just £15/hour (based on compressor fuel costs of £2/litre).

2452NC Blast Machine

The 2452 blast machine is the largest model in the Hodge Clemco (now part of the Surface Prep UK group) standard range. Approximate weight 180kg. This machine offers twice the capacity of the 2040NC machine, making its use ideal on larger projects. Whilst this unit is readily portable it is commonly used on fixed blast room installations and other jobs where mobility is less important. The 2452 can be used with a complete range of dry abrasives (excluding soda) and is an ideal companion for large industrial repair markets.

Vacuum Recovery Unit IND200P

  • An essential part for a blast room system which can save valuable man hours, reduce abrasive wastage, improve the quality of finish and the working environment, this vacuum recovery unit is economic & compact.
  • It consists of a small hopper sunk into the blast room floor, abrasive silo and vacuum producing unit.
  • The system can allow for up to three hours continuous production before recovery of media is required.
  • Expended abrasive is manually swept into the hopper and retrieved by vacuum into the silo and blast machine.
  • During this process the recycled abrasive is cleaned. The fines, dust and oversize contamination are separated from the reusable abrasive.
  • This low cost system is the ideal way to convert from an expendable blast media to a full recyclable system.
