Description

Wheelabrator Ventus Salt Blast Vacu-Bioblast pressure fed airblast system is similar to the Ventus 92 PF System

  • The Vacublast Ventus pressure fed air blast cabinets from Wheelabrator have been designed specifically for production applications where a high work output is required, combined with optimum abrasive blasting quality.
  • In this stainless steel  hand blast cabinet, the blast nozzle is operated manually by the operator through the armholes and can be used with all dry and free running abrasives available on the market today.
  • The Wheelabrator  is a large capacity pressure blast cabinet with a separate 40 lite blast generator pressure pot and cyclone unit.
  • Ideal for use when removing heavy corrosion, tough coatings or when high production rates are required.
  • Pressure feed machines are commonly used in high production environments or on applications such as peening, surface coatings removal, surface preparation and general cleaning.
  • Cleaning rates can be up to 5 times the speed of a suction venturi cabinets and are suitable for use with a wide range of abrasives such as Steel shot, Aluminium oxide, Glass bead and walnut shell etc.

Blast chamber

  • The cabinet has a door fitted to the right hand side of the machine. The doors on this range of machines offers an effective seal to the chamber for a leak free operation.
  • Complete with a matching dust control plant, for the removal of the dust from the cabinet.

Cabinet Features Include:

  • Internal lighting
  • large viewing window
  • Large operator armlets
  • Large loading door with fitted safety switch.
  • Simple and safe foot pedal blast control
  • 40 litre pressure feed pot with cabinet mounted blasting pressure regulator.

Key Aspects and Advantages of Salt / Soda Blasting:

Salt blasting, specifically using Kieserite (a natural mineral salt), is primarily used to remove calcium scale, stains, and build up from delicate swimming pool tiles, glass, and stone surfaces without causing damage. As a low-pressure, eco-friendly, and pH-neutral method, it cleans tiles and,, unlike sandblasting, leaves no harmful residue, making it ideal for delicate surfaces.

It is primarily used for cleaning delicate materials, removing contaminants like grease and paint, and restoring surfaces without altering the underlying material. It is highly effective at removing stubborn calcium deposits from ceramic, glass, porcelain, and stone pool tiles.

Soda blasting is a non-destructive, eco-friendly cleaning method that uses compressed air to propel sodium bicarbonate (baking soda) crystals, effectively removing paint, rust, grease, and grime without damaging the underlying surface, warping metal, or leaving toxic residues. It is ideal for delicate materials, including aluminium, glass, wood, and automotive parts, due to its low-heat, non-abrasive nature.

Key Aspects:

  • Surface Protection: Because soda particles fracture on impact, they clean without creating friction or heat, preventing warping, pitting, or etching on surfaces.
  • Versatile Applications: Commonly used for removing coatings from wood furniture, stripping paint from vehicles, cleaning machinery, graffiti removal, and restoring fire/smoke damage.
  • Eco-Friendly & Safe: The media is non-toxic, biodegradable, and water-soluble, simplifying cleanup.
  • Limitations: It can be less effective than harder abrasives on thick, hard rust or stubborn coatings. It also requires careful containment, as it creates a fine dust cloud.

Key Advantages:

  • Non-Destructive: Since sodium bicarbonate is soft, it cleans without removing or damaging the substrate.
  • Environmentally Friendly: It is non-toxic and water-soluble, making it easy to clean up.
  • No Heat Distortion: Unlike sandblasting, it does not create heat, preventing damage to metal surfaces.
  • Versatility: Suitable for various materials, including wood, aluminum, stainless steel, glass, and rubber
  • Rust Inhibition: It leaves a temporary passivating film on metal that inhibits the formation of new rust, unlike other methods.
  • Safe on Glass and Rubber: It can be used around delicate areas like windows and seals without leaving etch marks or damaging the material.

Suitable Applications of Salt / Soda Blasting:

  • Automotive & Marine Restoration: Safely removes paint, rust, and filler from car bodies, engines, and boat hulls without warping metal or harming fiberglass.
  • Industrial Cleaning: Degreases machinery, removes gasket materials, and cleans equipment in food processing plants without introducing toxic residues.
  • Restoration & Cleaning: Removes soot and odors from fire damage, clears mould, and strips paint or varnish from wood, brick, and stone.
  • Graffiti & Surface Removal: Cleans graffiti from masonry and removes dirt from delicate surfaces like glass or chrome
