Description

Originally developed for research & development, this 7 stage, composite plating line delivers a refined and highly adaptable solution for specialist coating applications.

The installation is built around a modular framework using stainless steel and polypropylene, with polished white PVC drip shielding designed to manage splashes and contain process liquids. Flame retardant materials are integrated throughout the extraction system and most tank assemblies, enhancing operational safety.

For ease of operation and maintenance, the front elevation features polished black PVC sliding panels. These provide convenient access to individual control valves and rectifier setting panels positioned at each electrolytic stage, enabling accurate process adjustment.

Component movement between stages is operator-controlled, yet the system eliminates manual lifting. An overhead runway incorporates a 125kg SWL electric hoist with powered lifting and pull-along traverse, ensuring safe and efficient handling throughout the process.

Each treatment tank is fitted with perimeter fume extraction lip hoods and sliding covers to support effective ventilation and maintain a safe, comfortable working environment. Dual heating control systems regulate immersion heaters, while integrated sprinkler ports within the extraction ducting provide provision for fire suppression.

Electrical power is supplied from a central freestanding DC unit, distributed across the line via an aluminium busbar system to ensure consistent plating performance across all stations.

All tanks made of polyphenylene with internal size of 600mm x 500mm x 1000mm (WxDxH) with the exception of station 2 which is 1000mm x 500mm x 1000mm (WxDxH).
