Description

This oven has a designed maximum operating temperature of 150°C for use with flammable gases, fully capable of operating at temperatures of up to 300°C for non flame proof applications. Previously used within a pharmaceutical clean room environment, it comes fully equipped with forced air circulation, a Eurotherm controller and integrated data logging for precise, reliable process control.

A powerful 30kW heating element is positioned within the upper chamber, incorporating an integrated surface temperature monitoring device to ensure the elements never reach the flash point of any flammable gases present or generated during the drying cycle, delivering enhanced operational safety.

The advanced control system features high-spec Eurotherm instrumentation with full process data logging. A multi-channel chart recorder continuously tracks both temperature and gas concentration levels throughout operation, providing complete process transparency and traceability.

For added protection, a secondary safety system allows compressed air to be automatically injected into the chamber should monitored gas levels exceed the critical set point.

All electrical control and switching components within the main panel are intrinsically safe, enabling operation in potentially flammable environments with confidence.

Built to an exceptional standard with premium components throughout, these ovens were originally supplied at over £90,000 each, a clear reflection of their quality, safety engineering, and performance capability.

Temperature Controller

The programmable (by user) temperature controller is controlling the wanted heat treatment temperature and the drying sequence in the dryer. 3.06

Safety Thermostat

This hardwired, capillary type safety thermostat is located on top of the oven. When excessive oven temperature is sensed, the heating element is cut out until the temperature has dropped below alarm limit again.

Air Lack Device

On top of the dryer a pressostat, in these terms called "air lack device", is mounted in order to detect sufficient air flow in the dryer exhaust duct. If air flow in the dryer exhaust duct is not detected by the air lack device the heat supply is shut down, thus preventing further heat-up.

Exhaust Fan

This system is not provided with an integrated exhaust fan. A central plant exhaust ventilation system, provided by others, is connected to oven outlet flange

Recorder

For recording the temperature-and concentration situation in the oven chamber a recorder has been fitted in the control board panel. Regarding channel descriptions and setup, please see "Factory tests/Set values on delivery". For detailed operation instructions of the recorder, please see separate recorder manual.

Pre-drying

The pre-drying time is set in the programmable temperature controller. In the pre-drying phase only the unit circulator should be running.

Drying

The drying time is set in the programmable temperature controller. In the drying phase, the circulator, exhaust fan (if applicable) as well as heating element should all be cut-in.

Heat Treatment

The heat treatment time is set in the programmable temperature controller. In the heat treatment phase only the circulator and heating element should be cut-in. Exhaust should be cut-out.
