Description

Hilsonic are a leading international suppliers of industrial Ultrasonic cleaning tanks.

  • Hilsonic are acknowledged as leaders in the supply of ultrasonic cleaning equipment to the power generation and marine industries. Their systems are suitable for a variety of purposes within these sectors including the cleaning of heat exchangers, intercoolers, charged air filter elements and particle filters. In addition, their systems can also be used for the cleaning of engine parts including pistons, valves, cylinder heads and engine blocks.

Operating Principles

  • The IST3780 generates electrical alternating currents at a frequency of 30Khz. This is applied to a ceramic transducers attached to the sides of the cleaning bath causing it to vibrate mechanically at the same frequency and so radiate sound waves throughout the liquid held in the bath. 
  • As the cleaning power developed in the liquid is high (20 to 50 watts per litre), millions of tiny bubbles constantly form and collapse in a process known as cavitation. The implosion of these bubbles loosens and removes dirt from the surfaces they come in contact with.
