Description

The Ventus 125 P is a self-contained pressure feed cabinet with a separate reverse pulse dust collector and mounted reclamation cyclone and 30ltr pressure feed pot fed by a cyclonic separation unit.

The design is user friendly with large armlets, a wide opening R/H door, easy access pressure control, and internal lighting.

The Ventus has the ability to blast at up to 100psi with a wide range of abrasives and would have an average consumption of 82cfm at this pressure with an average size nozzle.

Former Radius Aerospace

This plant is one of several machines acquired during Radius Aerospace's reorganisation of their manufacturing facility at Shrewsbury, UK.
Their worldwide reputation for quality is reflected in the machinery and maintenance of their manufacturing plant.
Many of these machines include features that are necessary for the manufacture of aircraft engines and industrial gas turbines,
but can provide a benefit to any industry.

The sophisticated cyclone system enables the cut point of the separation of reusable abrasive from waste to be accurately set allowing maximum separation of the reusable abrasive and the waste dust.

With the aerated feed system, the abrasive blasting stream can be set accurately and consistently even at low blasting pressures making this a very versatile machine.

The Vacublast pressure-fed hand blast cabinet is essential when removing heavy corrosion, tough coatings or when high production rates are required.

Cleaning rates are up to 5 times the speed of suction cabinets and are suitable for use with a wide range of abrasives such as steel shot, aluminium oxide, glass bead, plastic, and walnut shell to name but a few.

The machine has historically been using 20/40 plastic media, so wear throughout the machine is minimal.

Blast Chamber

The cabinet has an access door located on the right side of the cabin and offers an effective seal to the chamber for a leak-free operation.
Complete with a matching reverse pulse dust control plant, for the removal of the dust from the cabinet and provide the power to run the media recovery system.

This table has the advantage of being on a cranked arm, which can be rotated out of the cabin for loading and unloading parts

Additional Cabinet Features Include:

  • Internal lighting.
  • Large viewing window.
  • Large operator armlets.
  • 600mm manual rotary swing out table.
  • Simple and safe foot pedal blast control.
  • 30 litre pressure pot fed by cyclonic separator cabinet mounted blasting pressure regulator.

The blast media is drawn through the base hopper and passed through a cyclonic separator were the amount of waste separation can be controlled by the setting of the air wash eductor. The air wash is set to retain the reusable media and reject the undersized and waste dust to the dust collector.

The reusable media passes from the cyclone separator over a full-width vibrating debris screen whose surface is coated in heavy gauge rubber, which removes any oversized particles and debris from the process.

Located at the bottom of the storage hopper is the 30ltr pressure vessel which stores the blast media ready for use.

Extractor

The separate extraction unit houses 3 pleated filter cartridges, whose condition is maintained by a reverse pulse air jet cleaning system. The extractor is also fitted with a Fike explosion relief panel with burst sensors, which deactivates the machine in the event of an explosion.

Pressure feed machines are commonly used in high production environments or on applications such as peening, surface coatings removal, surface preparation, and cleaning.
