Solvents: Perchloroethylene or Class AIII (Modified Alcohol/Hydrocarbons)
This machine excels in removing various pollutants from different metal alloys (brass, copper, steel, aluminium, etc.) that are machined with oil or emulsified oil. It does so without altering the material's features or colour, making it ideal for preparing metal parts for storage or painting.
Cleaning Process
- Pre-cleaning Phase - After collecting the hot solvent from the tank (60 - 80°C / 140 - 176°F) the jets at the top of the washing chamber inject the solvent onto the parts and remove up to 90% of the polluting material which is drained into the still together with the solvent. The washing cycle time and the type of movement selected (rotation, oscillation or static) are pre-programmed and memorized in the computerized control system.
- Fine Cleaning Phase - the second phase, consisting in the rinsing of the parts, is obtained by means of the hot solvent (60 - 80°C / 140 - 176°F) found in the tank where the distilled solvent was previously collected. During this phase the residual polluting material is almost totally eliminated. At the end of the rinsing cycle, the solvent, which has become slightly warm due to its contact with the parts, is drained into the washing tank where it is heated up again ready for the next cycle. This phase can be realized with the immersion of the parts.
- Vapour Rinsing Phase - using the independent heat boiler located under the washing cabin we collect a certain amount of distilled solvent from the clean tank and using this independent boiler and increasing the vacuum level we generate solvent vapours directly in the cleaning chamber. This ensures a final complete rinse and raises the temperature of the parts before the drying phase begins.
- Vacuum Drying Phase - The pressure inside of the chamber is reduced (up to 5 absolute mbar) thus accelerating the evaporation of the solvent. The air/solvent combination, which is drawn into the washing chamber, is forwarded to a condensing unit.
