Description

The Walther Trowal VN 200 large parts trough (or tub) vibrators are used for the finishing of mid to large size parts. Normally the parts to be processed are placed into the tub loose where they can rotate freely within the media mass.

Mass finishing is a mechanical/chemical method for deburring, edge radiusing, smoothing, polishing, cleaning, degreasing and pickling of single as well as mass-produced work pieces. The optimum combination of finishing machine, grinding or polishing media, compound and water is critical for the success of any mass finishing process.

The media acts like many tiny wire brushes on the work pieces, which may consist of various forged, cast, stamped, cut or extruded metals, metal alloys, sintered metals, plastic and rubber. Mass finishing methods can be used for a wide spectrum of work pieces, ranging from extremely small to very large parts, irrespective of their shape.

Delicate Parts

Delicate parts are either clamped with special fixturing devices or processed individually in separate chambers separated by special dividers fitted into the tub. This type of processing prevents impingement and parts damage during the finishing process.

Universal applications Trough vibrators are “all-round” mass finishing machines. They are used for:

  • Deburring
  • Radiusing
  • Surface smoothing
  • Surface polishing
  • De-greasing
  • Surface cleaning
  • Pickling, de-scaling, de-rusting

Additional Features

Variable Speed Drive

The variable speed drive allows the operator to tailor the cutting action of the bowl to the job in hand.

Process Timer

The process timer timer allows out of work hours processing to be achieved, either by starting or finishing the process outside of the operational day.

Acoustic Cover

A full length free wheeling sound reducing acoustic cover is provided with the system to minimise noise in the surrounding area.
Sliding model with viewing window.

Compound Dosing

Within the end control panel is an electronic proportional dosing pump to ensure the correct amount of cutting compound is dosed during usage.
External Weir system for filtering and recycling the process lubricant and dosing compound.

Work Bowl Shape

Trowel vibrators always have a Pear-shaped work bowl curved side walls for improved media turn over and cutting action.

Lining of the Work Bowl

The Trowel series are lined with highly wear and chemical resistant Class 1 hot poured polyurethane.
