Description
This pre-owned very high specification Microsolve Micro450C CoSolvent system offers high precision cleaning with the ability to deal with heavy levels of contamination. Both tanks have ultrasonic cleaning. Originally operating in a clean room environment in the orthopaedics industry.
The Co-Solvent Process
Guyson Co-Solvent systems provide two ultrasonic cleaning stages, both with filtration, followed by vapour rinsing and freeboard dry.
In the first cleaning tank a mixture of HFE (hydrofluoroether) and a hydrocarbon solvating agent removes gross contamination from the components. Large quantities of dirt and oils can be taken up by the solvating agent, and
this makes the process particularly suitable for heavy duty cleaning.
In Stage 2 pure HFE distillate removes from the components residues carried over from the primary cleaning tank.
Both cleaning tanks include base-mounted ultrasonic transducers with a generator, solution heating and a pumping and filtration system.
Cleaning is followed by a rinse in the vapour zone above the tanks and then a dwell in the freeboard zone to dry the components.
Machines General Operation:
- The co-solvent version of the microsolve provided ultrasonic cleaning and filtration of both of the cleaning and rinsing tanks. Vapour rinsing and drying complete the process.
- Duel refrigerated cooling and freeboard design features are common to both Monosolvent and Co-solvent specifications. When used with HFE solvents the cleaning tank uses a mixture of HFE and a hydrocarbon solvating agent. This enhances the cleaning performance and is particularly suitable for heavy duty cleaning applications.
- Stage 1 includes base mounted ultrasonic transducers and a Pulsatron ultrasonic generator with solution heating and a pump and filtration system. In the cleaning tank a mixture of HFE solvent and a hydrocarbon solvent removes gross contamination from the components.
- Stage 2 includes base mounted ultrasonic transducers and a Pulsatron ultrasonic generator with a pumped, heated and filtered solution. In this stage a pure HFE distillate removes residues from the components carried over from the primary cleaning tank.
- This is then followed by a vapour rinse above the tank and then a dwell in the freeboard to dry the components.
This system is further equipped with a twin axis robotic handler (Autotrans MK5)which controls the vertical and horizontal placement of the basket within + or - 1mm at a controlled exit speed..
Automation of the ultrasonic cleaning process reduces running costs with both solvent and aqueous systems by assuring consistent, repeatable quality, reducing reject rates, and increasing throughput.
With Microsolve automated systems further cost reductions result from controlling the speed of basket entry and withdrawal from the vapour zone, thus reducing solvent drag-out and losses to atmosphere caused by disturbance of the vapour blanket.
Features unique to Microsolve systems include:
- Danfoss external cooling systems
- Automatic twin sliding seal lids,
- Vapour break, 150% freeboard,
- Solvent level monitoring
- P500/2 x1000 watt USC generator
These enhanced feature ensure that the system is safe to use and fully compliant with environmental and safety legislation including the Solvent Emissions Directive (SED).
Can be configured as a mono solvent system.
- Microsolve MONO-SOLVENT three-stage systems provide ultrasonic immersed cleaning using HFE (hydrofluoroether) or HFC (hydrofluoro-carbon) solvents, followed by vapour rinsing and freeboard dry.
- Typical applications include bearings, gyro components and precision medical components; maintenance cleaning of pneumatic and hydraulic components; and, in electronics, flux removal from PCBs or from soldering jigs and fixtures.
