Description

A versatile & efficient solution for bulk shot blasting of small parts, this CM automated tumble blaster offers an uniform surface cleaning, descaling and finishing in one compact unit.

At the core of the machine is a specially designed anti-abrasive rubber belt, formed as a cradle to securely hold components during processing. As the belt rotates, parts are kept in continuous motion, tumbling smoothly to ensure every surface is fully exposed to the blast stream.

Driven by a powerful turbine, the abrasive is projected with precision, striking components as they constantly change position. Delivering consistent, all over shot blasting coverage with no missed areas.

Engineered for versatility, the tumble blast shot blasting machine meets a wide range of surface preparation requirements, combining high productivity with operator safety and impressive energy efficiency.

Some examples of use for the L50 Tumble blast (batch processing) model Shot blasting machine are:

  • Descaling of hot forgings, hot stampings workpieces manufactured in steel or non-ferrous alloy.
  • Descaling of hot-rolled profiles, tubes, plates before painting.
  • Finishing of cast light alloy for automotive components
  • Shot-Peening of springs and mechanical elements for fatique life improvement.
  • Removal of refractory (ceramic) material from precision castings, and their deburring after cutting.
  • Cleaning of tools: - after brazing of hard metals or cemented carbide inserts or tips - after heat treatment - before coating.
  • Cleaning of dies for aluminum extrusion industry.
  • Cleaning of moulds for fabrication of glass containers.
  • Cleaning of dies used for permanent low pressure and gravity die casting of light alloy components (automotive, furniture parts, etc.).
  • Cleaning reconditioned parts of automotive such as brakes, clutches, shock absorbers, steering knuckles, ball joints, etc.
  • Mechanical artificial ageing for aesthetic purposes natural stone and resin or cement bond agglomerates.
  • Deflashing of thermoset (sintered, and injection molded) plastics and fiberglass parts.
  • Deburring, finishing of sintered metal (powder metallurgy) components.
  • Deflashing, finishing of high pressure die castings (engine components, ornamental hardware, aircraft and missile components, etc.).
  • Core knockout cleaning (fettling) of ferrous and non-ferrous sand castings.
