Description
The Guyson Euroblast cabinet is a highly durable, rigid and tightly sealed, fabricated and welded cabinet made from 16 gauge sheet steel. One of the industries leading cabinets with exceptional component entry facilities and sleeved armholes which provide safe and comfortable operator access. Complete with a matched C400/3 dust extraction unit.
Guyson manual bead blasting equipment offers a faster alternative to labour intensive operations such as hand deburring, scraping and wire brushing, chemical cleaning, acid etching or dipping, liquid honing, knife trimming, sanding, grinding and many others.
It is ideal for component producers, re-conditioners and re-manufacturers seeking to replace these slower and more labour intensive methods.
Guyson blast finishing uses compressed air to propel blast media directly at the component through an exclusively designed blast gun. These clean and safe operations are housed in an illuminated cabinet from which dust is constantly removed and the blast media recycled to provide a reliable cleaning and finishing system.
The Guyson bead blast machines can use a wide selection of blast media at alternative pressures. Pressures range from low enough to blast delicate parts to high enough to handle the most demanding cleaning and finishing operations.

What is Shot Blasting?
Shot Blasting can be used as a catch all term for a wide range of similar industrial processes. It is also called abrasive cleaning or abrasive surface finishing. During the shot blasting process a media material is fired at an object to remove remove burrs, flashing, paint, scale or rust and clean and smooth (or sometimes intentionally roughen) the surface.
There are several mechanical methods used to propel the media material including using compressed air or water streams, or airless methods such as wheel blasting.
The media used also differs depending on the results needed but the catch all term is shot, hence shot blasting. The shape, size and weight of the media will determine the outcome. Frequently a metal shot is used including steel grit, copper shots, and aluminum pellets. Some methods of shot blasting use silica sand (sand blasting - not in some countries due to health risks), glass beads (bead blasting), sodium bicarbonate (baking soda) or crushed nuts shells or kernels.
The Pros of Pressure Blast Cabinets
- High Production: pressure blast cabinets are 3-4 times faster in cleaning a product surface than suction cabinets.
- Higher performance: as pressure blast cabinets provide media at a greater force, products will be cleaned at a greater degree.
- More aggressive operation
- Any type of media can be used.
Features to Consider for a Blasting Cabinet
- Cubic Force per Minute (CFM) - The power the air/water/media can be shot at.
- Dust Collection - For blasting for prolonged times lengths or dust-producing materials the dust would need to be controlled.
- Cabinet Construction - All cabinets need to be sturdy but for high-pressure shot blasting the construction needs to be secure.
- Type of Cabinet - Options include suction, pressure & water blast cabinets.
- Functional Design & View - Would the operation be able to use the cabinet and see through the window?
- Media - What purpose do you need to shot blast as different media can achieve different finishes.
- Accessories for Blast Cabinet - Is the cabinet sellf contained or does it required additional control, extraction and cyclone units.
