Description
This second hand FX 150 is an extremely versatile fine dust filter, capable of handling numerous dust types over a wide range of applications.
The FX 150 are self-contained, high efficiency, envelope type units of compact design. They incorporate fan, motor and filter assemblies with mechanically operated shaking mechanisms and are designed to accept combinations of fan volume/cloth area to meet the varying applications in industry.
Full width hinged access doors, with quick release fasteners, provide easy inspection or removal of fan, motor or filter.
The automatic electrical shaking mechanism control unit consists of contactors and time delay relays, so that when the stop button is operated, the fan motor is allowed to run down before the shaker motor is automatically energised. This then runs for a pre-determined period, after which the whole system is shut down and reset.
The FX filter performance enables the recirculation (in most circumstance) of filtered air back into the process area, promoting cost savings through energy efficiency by the return of treated air.
Technical specifications:
- Capacity 1200cfm @ 7" swg // 2400m3/hr @178mm
- Fan size 1.5kW
- Bin capacity 2.3Cu. Ft // 66l
- Noise level 76dB(A)
- Overall dimensions 1190 x 1530 x 2400mm
- Weight 275kg
- ATEX rated explosion relief panel fitted to up-scoop
The above design duties are based on an 8:1 cloth to air ratio. Polyester needlefelt filter media is included as standard throughout our range. Other filter medias are available.
What are Shaker Dust Collectors?
Shaker Dust Collectors contain a number of woven bags, which are fixed onto rails and use their surface area to capture dust as it is drawn through the extraction unit by its fan.
Bags are periodically cleaned by rapidly shaking the bags through a shaker motor and linkage system which removes the filtered dust from the bags and into a collection bin.
These units are commonly used in foundries, steel mills, the mining industry, power plants, and smelting industries.
How do Dust Extractors Work?
Dust collection systems work in a variety of different ways but all have general principles in common. They draw process dust and particulates from the air through a filter that first captures and separates the matter, and then discharges decontaminated air back into the workplace or environment.
Dust extractors are used in many different and varied industries and so different demands are made of them; however all have common components such as a blower (or fan), dust filter, filter cleaning system, dust container and dust removal system.
Five common types of dust collection equipment are fabric filter baghouses, inertial separators (like mechanical cyclones), cartridge collectors, wet scrubbers, and electrostatic precipitators.
