Description

Paint Pre-Treatment Dip Line

General Description

A paint pre-treatment dip line which is in excellent condition. The line was installed in 2018 to meet the requirements of a specific contract which required extra pre-treatment for corrosion resistance in a marine environment. That contract has been fulfilled meaning the line is now surplus to requirements. Since installation the line has only been utilised for approximately two months total running time rendering it in virtually as new condition. Tank Construction:  316 Stainless Steel

This line is eminently suitable for conversion to other dip process applications due to the excellent tank size and 1000kg SWL overhead gantry system. Tank Size: 3200 x 1200 x 1600 mm

The equipment is arranged in a straight line with load and unload positions at opposite ends for ease of operation.
The work is carried through the line in baskets by a heavy duty overhead crane complete with tilt function to assist drainage, motorised raise lower and traverse which is operator controlled via pendant push buttons.
This represents an excellent opportunity to acquire a dip pre-treatment line in pristine condition offering considerable savings over the buy new price.

Principle of Operation
Components are manually loaded into baskets off line which are then moved to the load station ready for processing. The baskets are then picked by the overhead crane and transferred sequentially through the process under operator control.

Rinse waters weir over from their respective tanks and flow by gravity to a rinse water transfer station at the end of the line which is fitted with a submersible pump.

A raised operator walkway with two sets of access steps, painted steel chequer plate flooring and painted steel handrailing runs the length of one side of the line.

The body of the tank is manufactured from stainless steel 316 grade material supported with external belly band strengthening.

Overflow to drain manifold.

Temperature: 75°c

1 Off Single compartment tank of internal size 3200mm x 1200mm x 1600mm deep, complete with top flange.

The body of the tank is manufactured from stainless steel 316 grade material supported with external belly band strengthening.

1 Set 36kw Stainless Steel Electric Heating

Station No.5: Unload Station:

Clear unloading bay serviced by overhead gantry.


Drip Shields

Tanks are fitted with stainless steel drip shields in between to stop solution spillage.
The rear of the line is also fitted with a sloping stainless steel splash guard.

Support Tank
A moulded polypropylene support tank is located adjacent to the line fitted with a submersible pump for water transfer.

Transporter Equipment

1 Off Fully motorised 1000kg SWL heavy duty twin hoist overhead crane system to operate in manual mode.
The crane is manufactured in mild steel RHS, and other steel sections all painted in hazard warning yellow.
A purpose designed lifting beam with four point engagement is utilised to enable multiple baskets to be processed at different stages of the treatment in order to maximise efficiency of output.
Thus, one basket can be left in a particular stage and the hoist disengaged to be free to move another basket as required. Power feed to the crane via enclosed bus bar system system.

All transporter movements are initiated by the operator using a manual pendant control unit. Twin hoists are utilised to enable the basket to be tilted on immersion to the liquid to minimise displacement effects and on removal to maximise drainage and reduce carry over. There are also twin traverse motors to ensure correct alignment is maintained.

Track Support Structure

The heavy duty twin track gantry system is manufactured from painted mild steel universal beam sections supported by 205mm x 135mm stanchions from the floor. Cross bracing is provided as required.

The self-supporting structure is in bolted sections lined and levelled on to the factory floor without the need for special foundations.

The down shop runway length is 9000mm, the track centres are 2500mm and the overall height from factory floor level is 5400mm.

Walkway

The full length of one side of the main process line is served by a raised operator walkway. The walkway has two sets of access stairways, painted steel chequer plate flooring and painted steel handrailing.

Control Console
The vat heater control console is wall mounted adjacent to the line and contains, door interlocking isolator, contactors, circuit breakers and rail mounted terminal blocks
There are two off door mounted electronic temperature controllers for the heated process tanks complete with heater on/off switches and indicator lights.

The overhead crane system has a dedicated enclosure mounted on the gantry containing all necessary control gear.

Electrical Wiring
All electrical wiring between the central control console and field electrical items is installed in corrosion resistant PVC or galvanised-steel cable tray suitably supported.

Mechanical Services
One set mechanical services serving the previously described plant complete with
all necessary supports and brackets.

Bund Tray
All three process tanks are mounted inside a stainless steel bund tray of overall dimensions 4400mm long x 4000mm wide.

Baskets
Included with the line are 10 off purpose made stainless steel work baskets. Nominal overall dimensions 2450mm x 900mm x 1200mm high (plus lifting hooks).
