The CA980 is a cast poly lined 980ltr capacity overlapping helical vibratory bowl. The "Circlon" CA bowl is an automatic vibratory process, and with its spiral process channel design which minimises damage and scratches to the component. With the extended overlapping spiral design a longer process length can be achieved which sometimes allows continuous parts processing of same sized components.

The process speed is controlled by the divorced variable speed drive unit with a range of 800-1500rpm. The separation flap can be used to extend the process by allowing multiple passes around the bowl when required.

Function / Process

Circlon vibrators type CA are automatic abrasive finishers with overlapping helical work bowls. The mixture of workpieces and abrasive media moves during the course of circulation from the bottom to the top level of the work bowl. During this advanced motion the mixture is circulated in a spiral from the outside to the inside. In addition, workpieces and abrasives media describe relative movement in relation to one another. This three-dimensional movement generates high abrasive pressure and prevents reciprocal shattering or scratching of the workpieces. After finishing the mixture id passes via a tilting flap to the screening area. Separation (closure of the flap)  is initiated pneumatically. The finished workpieces are ejected, the abrasive media drops back through the screen into the work bowl.

What is Vibratory Deburring & Polishing?

Vibratory processing machines use predominantly mechanical energy, rather than more aggressive chemical/thermal energy to clean products, however this rotary vibratory process is an extremely flexible and versatile mass finishing system.

Applications include; deburring, grinding, radiusing, general parts cleaning, descaling, degreasing and polishing of stampings, castings, as well as machined components.

Excellent results can be obtained for highly delicate and small components as well as for large and robust parts.

In this batch type process, specially profiled media and components are placed in the trough or work bowl, which is mounted on coil springs. The vibratory energy is induced by a special vibratory motor that shakes and moves the processing bowl.

This vibration creates the typical ‘scrubbing’ movement of media against parts, whilst the continuous feeding of water and compound removes waste dirt and grease particles away from the components, for subsequent treatment and re-use.
