Description

A Walther Trowal trough vibration machine with a removable acoustic sound surround, dosing unit, control panel comprising of process timer, speed controller and a variety of switching options.

Large parts

  • Trowal trough (or tub) vibrators are used for finishing of mid to large size parts.
  • Normally the parts to be processed are placed into the tub loose where they can rotate freely within the media mass.

Delicate parts

  • Delicate parts are either clamped with special fixturing devices or processed individually in separate chambers separated by special dividers fitted into the tub.
  • This type of processing prevents impingement and parts damage during the finishing process.

Universal applications

  • Deburring
  • Radiusing
  • Surface smoothing
  • Surface polishing
  • De-greasing
  • Surface cleaning
  • Pickling, de-scaling, de-rusting
  • Compound Dosing 150 ml/Hr.

Work bowl / Trough

  • Trowel vibrators always have a Pear-shaped work bowl curved side walls for improved media turn over and cutting action.
  • These are lined with highly wear and chemical resistant Class 1 hot poured polyurethane

Drive system

  • The vibration in trough vibrators is generated with a 1.5kW high performance foot-mounted vibratory motor.
  • Trough dimension 1070 x 600 x 900mm deep.

What is Vibratory Deburring & Polishing?

Vibratory processing machines use predominantly mechanical energy, rather than more aggressive chemical/thermal energy to clean products, however this rotary vibratory process is an extremely flexible and versatile mass finishing system.

Applications include; deburring, grinding, radiusing, general parts cleaning, descaling, degreasing and polishing of stampings, castings, as well as machined components.

Excellent results can be obtained for highly delicate and small components as well as for large and robust parts.

In this batch type process, specially profiled media and components are placed in the trough or work bowl, which is mounted on coil springs. The vibratory energy is induced by a special vibratory motor that shakes and moves the processing bowl.

This vibration creates the typical ‘scrubbing’ movement of media against parts, whilst the continuous feeding of water and compound removes waste dirt and grease particles away from the components, for subsequent treatment and re-use.
