This dust collector is a large model for dust collecting in heavy duty conditions. It is designed to offer a low height whilst still producing high efficiency filtration and easy maintenance. Fitted with long life ceramic filters and reverse pulse filter cleaning.

The low height is achieved by placing the fan and motor at low level and connecting to the dust collector via ducting pipework. This omits the need for the fan and silencer to be placed as is usual on the roof keeping the overall height to a minimum.

Typical applications

  • High temperature exhaust air application.
  • Foundry cast shops.
  • Welding installations.
  • Shotblasting room extraction.
  • Grain and animal feed plant.
  • Manufacturing plants.
  • Chemical industries etc.

Fan details

  • RHF manufactured fan.
  • Type HPC B4
  • 1500 CFM
  • 4.0kW

Principle of operation:

Dust-laden air enters into the dust collector from the side mounted square inlet spigot, the dust is the captured by the vertically placed pleated bags. The purified air is discharged out from the upper vent in the unit.

In order to clean and maintain the filters in an optimum state, the filters are back washed with jets using compressed air (0.6-0.7Mpa) into the cartridge center through an electromagnetic valve, this dislodges the dust accumulated on the external surface of filters and knocks it down to the catchment bin in the base of the hopper.

What are Reverse Pulse Jet Dust Collectors?

Reverse Pulse Jet Dust Collectors use a jet of air to clean dust from the collector's filters. Commonly used in pleated filter cartridge units, the filters are cleaned by a series of rapid, high-pressure air jets which sends a blast or shock of air through the reverse side of the filters. In effect this shakes the collected dust from the filters into the dust collection system. The rapid reverse pulse of air allows for continuous operation with the fan running and has high collection efficiencies.

Reverse Pulse Jet Dust Collectors are the most common type of industrial dust collectors and can handle a wide range of temperatures and pressures. They are commonly used in manufacturing environments where large volumes of solids are processed, such as mineral production, food processing and metal fabrication industries.

A control unit sets the variables such as time duration between pulses, length of pulse and pressure.
