Description

Pickling Process Support Plant Room

The process solutions used in the automatic pickling line are held in a compartmentalised storage tank located in a pit in an adjacent plant room.

The solutions are pumped from the storage tank in the plant room to the treatment tanks on the pickling line automatically in the correct sequence and timing as set and controlled by the Siemens S7-300 PLC.

The storage facility comprises a large tank of nominal dimensions 10,630mm long x 2,465mm wide x 1,059mm deep. This tank is manufactured in stainless steel and divided into four separate tanks which are suitability protected by polypropylene and complete with covers.

Station 12 Pickle Storage
Description: A heated station for storage of pickle solution
Tank Material: 15 mm Polypropylene with encased supports

7 off Equipment Skids
Located above the compartmentalised storage tank are 7 off Equipment Skids (one for each treatment tank in the automatic pickling line.

Each skid comprises

• Pneumatic Valves
• 5 off Inlet Valves
• 5 off Outlet Valves
• 1 off Double Diaphragm Pump
• 1 off Pump Sump Tank and Cover
• 15 off Microswitches for Valves
• All the necessary electrical and pneumatic control devices will be controlled by Profibus
• All mounted on polypropylene bases

A complete set of GRP grids with support steelwork in order to walk on the areas between the skids for maintenance/inspection purposes.
