The Romer open spray booth's allows for the application of painting larger or multiple components by hand either directly placed on the work table or suspended from a rail. 

Features of the KPO3 manual booth

Explosion-proof construction

  • These ATEX compliant booths are carefully designed to prevent explosive mixes from the process of powder application. Every single component is carefully selected to minimise the risk.
  • Aluminum fans are safer, to use than standard steel fans as they in themselves won't cause sparks to be generated within the metal housing . Thanks to their low weight they also consume less energy and thus less electricity. They are also very quiet in operation at noise levels of between 74-79dB, with the motor being hidden inside the booth housing making the booth lower in height.


  • The fitted hopper is designed to collect the excess material from the process and facilitate easy cleaning.

Sealed filter installation

  • Thanks to the use of supporting flanges installing and uninstalling of the filter elements has been made easy. The design of the filter with multiple securing locations provides a tight seal which improves the quality of filtration process and transfer levels within the booth.

Automatic filter cleansing

  • ROMER's booths are equipped with an electronic automatic filter pulse cleaning system. We know from experience that it's hard to always expect an operator to regularly clean the filters, but thanks to this system the operator won't have to worry about it anymore.
  • The booths control system has an adjustable timer for both the cleaning interval, and the time of the impulse, so that the filters are automatically cleaned whilst in use to maintain the excellent extraction rate of the booth and the filters in an optimum state.

Reverse pulse cleaning 

  • The Romer powder booth is equipped with integral pressure reservoir, which is responsible for the storage of the air supply required to clean the filter. Compressed air is released from the tank in a fraction of a second while passing through the ROMER JET ™ system which expands the filter at high velocity and escapes through the micro perforations in the filter material with the powder then falling away into the attached collection bucket and sieving unit.
  • The ROMER JET ™ system is patented and ensures the cleaning of the whole filter from top to bottom, this provides a unique cleaning effect, unattainable in the past using simple Jet venturi cleaning for example.

Regulated extraction

  • In the booth an anti-static plate covers the face of the filters, this protects the filters from the first wave of powder under pressure. This secondarily improves the velocity of the air moving across the face of the spray area, which in turn improves the suction and makes painting easier.

Filter specifications

  • The thickness of the material that the filters are made from is 260g/m².
  • Filtration surface area (H900) is 15m² compared to the standard H900 which is only 160g/m² with 7,5m² surface area.
