The Donaldson Torit DCE UMA Series of dust control systems are designed to provide economical and effective solutions to a wide variety of dust problems throughout industry.

The UMA 456V is the low height, high quality, compact design solution for all your dust control problems.

Although this particular unit was produced in 2006, the unit has never been put into service and is now being offered direct from storage in an as new condition.

The UMA dust control system is a completely self-contained bag fabric filter housing designed for periodic intermittent duty. Filter cleaning is achieved automatically when the unit is turned off during periods of non-use such as break times and end of shift.

The product coding of the UMA series denotes both the filter area and the waste bin capacity size hence the UMA 456 K15 has a fabric filter area of 452 ft² and dust collection waste bin storage capacity of 2 x 3 ft³.

The UMA filter bags themselves are available with a wide range of available materials and grades to suit differing processes and materials to be extracted.

The UMA dust control units are self-contained and complete including separate fan with acoustic diffuser (Reduces Noise), easy access filter assembly, quadruple inlet hopper and dual waste dust containers with quick release sealer gear, acoustic diffuser (Reduces Noise); ATEX rated explosion Relief panel (For Use With Explosive dusts) with burst detection which shuts down the unit in the unlikely event of and accident.


The dust laden air from the dust generation source is drawn through the inlet to the filter by the power of the fan. Initially, some pre-separation takes place within the knock down unit which diverts the air stream downwards, whereby the heavier dust particles lose momentum and fall into the collection bins.

Finer dusts are carried up to the filter elements where they are retained on the outer surface of the filter fabric. The cleaned air passes through the filter fabric, through the roof and into the fan chamber then discharged to atmosphere through the acoustic diffuser.

When the fan is switched off, the filter fabric cleaning cycle is automatically activated. The dust collected on the filter face is then shaken to dislodge the dust from the filter elements which then falls into the collection bins below.

The collection bins themselves are designed with a bucket balance fixture, which allows the equalisation of the pressure within the bins allowing bags to be used inside for ease of disposal.
