Walther Trowal Magnetic separation of finished parts

This machine formed part of the critical sub-contract metal laundry facility at Walther Trowal UK’s Surface Technology Centre. Riley Surface World staff have seen this machine working in a well maintained and serviced environment, prior to professional de-commissioning and operated by trained and knowledgeable operatives. In addition the manufacturer, Walther Trowal, is available to support this after sale, see below.

Magnetic separation of finished ferric parts offers advantages with regard to efficiency, productivity and ease of operation. Walther Trowal high performance magnetic separators for fully automatic removal of parts with height adjustment and adjustment of the magnetic field.

Walther Trowal electromagnetic, parts separator complete with Mag/Demag variable strength field, manually operated pneumatic raise and lower facility for bowl entry with a 300mm wide conveyor belt .

If the integrated screening device is not sufficient (i.e. if chips and components have almost the same size, or if no mixture of parts is allowed), external screening systems can be used.

magnetic separators

If ferrous work pieces and grinding or polishing media have a similar size, they can be separated from the components magnetically. Magnetic separators are also used to transport the work pieces from the finishing machine to secondary equipment such as a drier.

The magnetic separator provides a true self cleaning industrial magnetic separator systems solution, for continuous iron metal work piece recovery from your vibratory bowl.

The separator sits above your process bowl during the cutting process and once the desired finish is achieved the separator is pneumatically lowered into the bowl.

Ferrous metals are magnetically pulled out of your non-ferrous abrasive chips and conveyed across a running PU belt whereby they are demagnetised before exiting the belt at the rear to a secondary process such as a maize dryer or into a collection hopper.

Technical details:

  • The angled magnetic head and the permanent magnetic field with pulsating poles (anti-poles) facilitates the release of trapped media in the pickup area.
  • Discharge width equals the full width of the process channel with 4 Special cams which prevent parts from getting caught on the left and right hand side of the belt
  • Magnetic adjustment in the parts pickup area
  • Side plates of the magnetic head are made from stainless steel
  • Pneumatic height adjustment
  • Different belt designs available
  • Plate de-magnetization zone (Extra):
  • Variable conveyor speeds 4 Customized de-magnetization solutions
