Description

This is a second hand Wild Barfield (Almor) top loading VFC furnace which is ideal for hardening, normalising and annealing of shafts and general components.

The components to be heat treated can be suspended from jigs or placed in a single charge basket. The configuration of the furnace allows direct loading of components from above with a hoisting unit meaning singular heavy parts are easily catered for.

Thin parts have less tendency to distort when quenching is a secondary operation with this vertical loading arrangement.

The design of this furnace is simple and easy to maintain, yet has proven to be very robust even in the most arduous of heat treatment environments.
